I had to write about this product! Love it! I'm 51 with dry skin. I also have many scars on my body from a skin condition. I've tried every self tanner on the market, from drug store to the highest tier and while it disguises the scars a bit, it doesn't make them disappear. This stuff is amazing. Not only does it cover the scars, it looks natural. Application isn't quick, you MUST prep your skin properly: shower, loofah in the shower using soap- not a body wash (you've got to keep from making your skin oily). Of course we are taught to fight dry skin, but with this stuff, you don't want any oils on your skin where your plan to apply. And maybe that's where people have trouble with results with this, perhaps because their skin tends to be oily no matter what, this stuff doesn't work for them. I usually wait a few hours before applying after shower, then I do a light exfoliation with their mitt (but any terrycloth will work), put a dab in my hands, rub them together and rub onto skin. Quickly after getting it on your skin in the area you want, use the other side of the mitt (velour) to blend it out on edges, get any extra thick layers blended down and basically, remove any excess. Let it dry about 1/2 hr before dressing and go. It will feel a bit sticky in that first half hour. Once it's on, it's staying on, but maybe don't go to bed until it's been on for an hour or so. It will not come off on clothes or your body after it's set. It's a beautiful finish (not matte, but a soft sheen, no glimmer of sparkle). It's waterproof, so go out in the sprinkler, pool, wash dishes, even take another shower. You need a loofah & oil based soap/wash to get out off. I use philosophy and a hard loofah, then use regular soap and loofah that off all, all of which helps again with exfoliation for next time. Great stuff!! If you are trying to cover serious stuff, tattoos (yes, it will cover tattoos!), Then you'll need another layer after your first layer sets and dries down, but go for it. It works!
