This product is fantastic all by itself, but my hairdresser showed me how to make it even better!!! I have relatively short, thin, fine hair…
1. I put a dollop of L’oreal Styling Gel #5 on the palm of my left hand and
2. Gently rub my hands together then
3. Sprinkle on the BOLD Powder, covering my left palm and
4. Rub my hands together again …then and only then
5. Run my hands through my towel-dried hair, and finally
6. Blow dry my hair with a round brush and VOILA!
You achieve volume that years ago could only have been achieved with backcombing! Not only does it give your hair-do volume and lift, but your hair will actually feel thicker!

I got this for myself to add texture to my hair, but my girlfriend ended up using as well to create more volume for her long hair. Overall we were both satisfied with the product because of the difference it made. It creates volume and thus makes your hair appeal fuller. The powder holds the texture of your hair from morning till dark. It creates texture to all hair lengths (short or long). There is no odor compared to other gels or sprays. At first I thought the bottle was too small, but it’s more than enough to texture your hair for extensive uses. You only need a small amount to texture any hairstyle. The only negative was stickiness of the product when applied to your hair. Some hair gels dissipate over time, but this one lingers.

Both sexes can use this product. It gives you a matte finish.
Is this easy to wash off?
Yes. Shower with shampoo and it will come right off.

Background details: I have fine, but pretty dense hair that tends to pull flat at the crown and absorbs oil and moisture like a sponge. It has a slight wave and tends to frizz, so even air drying is out of the question. It also usually refuses to hold a style, slips easily out of most clips and fasteners, and collapses if curled. Hairspray won’t hold it, gel makes it crackly, and if I try to wear it down, it just slithers into my face and picks up oil from my skin. And it’s humid as all get-out here. Ugh.

I used BOLD Powder on the roots (@ the crown) of day 2 hair with a scant spritz of dry shampoo at the temples, and at the end of the day, I’ve still got volume and texture, and my style (down, not pulled back) actually stayed in place.
