I like the fact that the ST300 comes in more environmentally friendly packaging than the ST301. The manufacturer will tell you that the ST300 and the ST301 are the same, and that the only difference is the packaging. However, I found the ST301 to be much better than the ST300, and comparable to Feather razors, which are substantially more expensive. The ST300 is simply not as sharp. Looking further into the differences, I found out that the ST301 that I purchased in the past is made in Korea, and the ST300 that I got comes from Vietnam. Even though I like the fact that the ST300 uses paper for packaging, and not plastic, next time I will go back to the ST301 made in Korea.

I have been shaving since 1948, started out with the double edge safety razor even in the army I used the same kind of razor, About 15 years ago I switched to the Gillette Mach 3,then to the Gillette Fusion, I was getting a good shave but the price of blade was sky high, so I went back to the old standby safety razor using the Dorco blades, you get a great shave and you just cant beat the price of the blades.
