I’m no stranger to safety razors. Ive been using a MERKUR Safety Razor for the last 10 years and assorted straight razors as well. That being said when I saw this razor I liked what I saw. From the shiny gun metal finish to the Butterfly style opening. The handle is long enough to where you get a good grip and hold on the razor which is nice, it also is heavy enough to make it well balanced in your hand. I paired it with the Japanese Stainless steel Razors, Viking Revolution also sells and they went together like peas and carrots. After shaving with the razor I was happy with the job it did. It will be in my rotation of razors for sure and for the years to come.

This razor is HEAVY. Even if you are used to shaving with a traditional safety razor, this is heavy. The weight of he razor alone is enough to shave; let the weight of the razor do he cutting/shaving. Any pressure you add will cut you. Use no pressure and short strokes. Use lots of water and a good shave Butter or shaving soap. Canned shave foam is worthless. Do this and you will have a close, safe, excellent shave.
