Alonzo's oil softens and lubricates. I followed instructions by wetting face with water then put a nickel-sized amount in hand; rubbed into both hands and massaged into face arears to be shaved. The oil worked well but then I put a little shaving cream on top and it seamed to shave even smoother. The result was a very close shave without having to go over the same spot multiple times.

I've been trying different pre-shaves and this is no doubt my favorite. It doesn't clog your razor like some other pre-shaves do, it smells great and it just works like a charm. I shave with a double edge safety razor and this stuff makes shaving a pleasure with no nicks or cuts. Smooth as silk!
