Alleeum –
Since puberty, I’ve had serious horizontal ridges along the sides of my thumbnails –so deep and close together they almost look like folds. And after aggressive chemotherapy in 2002, my other fingers developed vertical ridges — not nearly as deep, but annoying, nonetheless. Needless to say, I’ve tried every ridge filler I’ve come across. Some helped a little, although nowhere near enough; most didn’t seem to do anything at all. So years ago, I just plain gave up and stopped polishing my nails.
Jenny –
I have pretty bad ridges, but buffing them off weakens my nails too much, causing breakage, so I ordered this. It goes on smooth and not too thick, but covers ridges well. I also think it provides a much better surface for polish to stick to. I polished my nails about a week ago, and they are still looking pretty good with just a few small chips! Usually washing my hair (or having my hands in water for a while) ruins my nails and despite a good top coat, the polish starts peeling off in chunks, but it’s not doing that this time! So glad I found this stuff!
