Quinn –
This pomade replaced an old Paul Mitchell pomade that I had ran out of and I can say I think I may have found a new go to. While this pomade isn’t a super strong hold pomade it does the job for my short, straight and manageable hair. I wasn’t looking for the Don Draper effect but rather a product that would hold its shape yet allow me to play with my hair a little bit throughout the day so I wasn’t constrained so much.
Tennessee Tony –
I have fine hair which won’t stay in place. I’ve used Redken for several years now, and it did a pretty good job, although it left my hair a bit stiff. Eventually, the product became price-prohibitive. This Old Spice pomade had received positive reviews and the price was attractive, so I thought I’d give it a shot. It’s great. It holds my hair in place without being stiff or looking greased back or like a beauty salon hairsprayed it into concrete. I was a bit concerned the Old Spice smell would be way too old school. However, it smells great, but without being overpowering. A little goes a long way, and because it’s not liquid I haven’t had to place it in a clear plastic bag when going through TSA screening. Thumbs up.
