I've been in need of a new "personal trimmer" for awhile, the last one was dubious at the very start, but somehow I made it work for quite a few years. (Unfortunately, limited to just nose hair because the attachments did more pulling than cutting.) But, as I've learned a thing or two over the years, I found the Wahl Senior to replace my previous beard trimmer – and my life changed right before my very eyes (literally, in front of the mirror). So, I thought I would see what Wahl had to offer on the personal trimmer front. Some of the reviewers here (on this very page!) helped me make my decision – people with realistic expectations, long-time users and "just a little patience".

I am a woman and I bought this to prevent infected hair follicles from shaving. I purchased this product instead of the purple "lady" version, because it has more features and is cheaper, go figure (yet another instance of the "woman tax," I see you Wahl). Anyhoo, it seems to be doing the trick. It does seem to struggle sometimes when it hits thicker patches of hair, but it keeps going. I use a rechargeable battery. Also I tried the nose hair trimmer head, because we ladies have at least a little hair in our noses too, and it was a bit meh for me. But probably better than using scissors. Not having painful, angry bumps on my skin is much appreciated.
